INFP Mediator
“Everyone is searching for their own meaning, and I'm searching for mine.”
What each letter of INFP means
The four letters are four separate scales, not a single score. You can sit near the middle on one and be firm on another — which is why two people with the same code are not the same person.
Assertive vs Turbulent
“Everyone is searching for their own meaning, and I'm searching for mine.”
Highly empathetic, creative, expressive. Firm values, pursues meaning, an idealist who acts on beliefs.
Too idealistic, avoids conflict, has difficulty making decisions, struggles to accept imperfect reality.
“I know I'm special... but do I really deserve to be loved?”
Same depth and creativity, but more authentic. Can feel others' pain and elevate it into meaningful expression.
Large emotional fluctuations, low self-worth, overly critical of self. Prone to negative thought spirals.
INFP in daily life
Three longer guides, each written specifically for this type rather than from a shared template.
Assertive and Turbulent: INFP-A and INFP-T
The A/T suffix is a separate dimension describing how you respond to stress, not part of the original four letters. INFP-A describes a more confident, steady response; INFP-T describes a more self-questioning, perfectionist one. They are two versions of the same four-letter type, so the core description applies to both.
